The CalPhil Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community benefit organization, was founded to support the California Philharmonic. The Foundation’s mission is “to bring excellent and professional performances of great music to the widest possible audience.” Donors like you help bring this mission to fruition.

• Sounds Fun: Concert Experience for Young Minds—introducing schoolchildren to basic concepts of music through classroom teaching combined with a live concert
• Cal Phil Family Night—a free interactive concert featuring instrument demonstrations and other stimulating educational activities

Cal Phil is committed to making symphonic music more accessible. Everyone leaves a Cal Phil concert with a little more knowledge due to Dr. Vener’s ability to relate musical ideas, recount historical facts and entertain us with little known stories about the lives of the composers. From friendly pre-concert talks to fascinating comments between pieces, this distinctive approach to presenting music illuminates and enriches the listening experience.
